Why Sunescape is my MVP tanning product this winter…

I’ve basically tried every single fake tanning product out there, so you can really take my word for it when I say that Sunescape is a fantastic product. I’m such a fake tan connoisseur that I even compartmentalise my tanning products into subcategories – because you know…some are better depending on the circumstances…it’s a thing okay. Anyway, Sunescape is truly my favourite for winter because: – It’s not too dark. Sunescape offers two shades in their mousse range; a Week in Fiji and Month in Maui. Even their darkest shade promises a natural looking tan. Now I am all for a dark tan, but definitely not in winter. I steer clear of many of my favourite brands in winter because it looks so unnatural. – It works quickly. Whilst I will often sleep in my tan to let it develop overnight, I have used Sunescape in the morning and washed it off 4-5 hours later, to still find I have a really decent colour. It’s perfect for when I have events on in the evening, because sleeping in tan is never ideal. I mean, …

Kelapa Skincare

So I know I’ve written a post previously about a good routine skin care regime, but I acknowledge that the products were very expensive. Obviously that lifestyle is not maintainable for everyone (including myself at times) so I wanted to share a new range that has kept my skin clear and soft and won’t break the bank. Again, I want to reiterate how important skin care is for women (and men). Why? Our face is the most exposed part of our bodies, exposed to wind, sun, dust and dirt; all day, every day. The facial visage is where you’ll first start to notice signs of aging. Wrinkles anyone? I’ve been brought up by a mother and grandmother, who have indoctrinated good skin care into my mind from a young age, and I’m so grateful for that – god bless those who genuinely mistake me for being ‘around’ 20 years old! I’ve also been blessed with naturally clear skin, so please don’t think that starting a skin care regime will transform you overnight. It won’t. And …

Why You Need To Go And Moisturise Your Face Right Now!

I’m often told that I have clear skin and asked how I achieve this. Now, I won’t lie; I was blessed with good genes in the skin department – good skin runs in my family. However, there’s a lot more to having good skin than the absence of blemishes. Warding off pimples is a mere facet of maintaining healthy skin. A clean diet, straying far from processed sugars and drinking 3-4 litres of water a day will help you here. My skin always has minor breakouts (which are BREAKOUTS for me as I’ve never endured acne) when I have been indulging in sugary/fatty foods or drinking large amounts of alcohol – but getting back into a good routine clears it up pretty quickly. My real concern, when it comes to the delicate skin of the upper body, is looking after it to prevent early aging. I know that sounds somewhat narcissistic, but your face is the most exposed part of your body as a human being. Our face should be the part of us that …
